The Hidden Life of Trees
By Peter Wohlleben
For those who are highly intuitive and have an active relationship with trees as sentient beings, the concept of this book, subtitled, “What They Feel, How They Communicate” will not come as a total surprise.
However, the precise detail, the careful observations and poetic descriptions of trees as members of the world community, perhaps will hold some unexpected facts, knowledge and wisdom that all of us do not know because most of us do not have the author and forester’s far ranging experience as well as his deep love for trees.
This writing is a wonderful example of a creative mind looking at the science and art of being. The interconnection of “everything” in the web of life is given lots of scientific evidence with meaningful and specific examples from a range of locations all over the world.
The author, Peter Wohlleben is a courageous human ambassador for the trees and for respecting the wisdom of the globe’s long living tree families, who can teach us much if we open our hearts and minds to them.
