“I saw a dragon in that fire and also in the one where I was in BC. [Participating in such events connect one to] the Dragon Light of energy that is coming forward on the planet at this time (if we are open to it) and they kind of combine pilgrimage in a way that speaks of meridians: the dragon lines on the earth are powerful spots and when you align your personal meridians (and chakras also, like in acupuncture) with the sites and especially when you pick a season that aligns with the earth/celestial event, like equinox or a full moon, then you increase the chances of alignment. The dragon energy is about embracing a primordial energy of creation.”
“I’m not a member of the Sacred Fire Community, which hosted the conference. But I practice meditation from the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, and when this thing came up, I thought, ‘I need to go and connect with this part of the world.’ They keep the fire going the whole time because, in the practices of traditional, indigenous and even contemporary people, the fire keeps the energy moving. And I’m just drawn to that energy. I’m really nervous about using flaky language, but I really believe that we can connect so deeply with the elements that we can merge with them in spirit. It’s like a communion is happening. And in that place, I felt safe enough to be able to express that. I didn’t have to worry about anybody watching me. When it fills me up, that’s when I start to move. Because it’s almost telling me how to move.”
